What is the normal age for starting programing?

I'm 14 years old and I don't know if I should learn complex JavaScript. How old are you?

Age is just a number, programming is just a tool.

if you completed basic java, sure, move on to advanced. make some practice scripts. most importantly, have fun, as that's the best way to learn programming.

Great words K2 shape. Yes, age does not matter. Only matter is your passion towards programing. Anyway good luck. I am 18. Not no.18 from dragon ball

earlier the better. the child's brain will develop to comprehend it better as an adult, than an adult who didn't program as a child. getting a child to focus and not get bored programming can be a challenge though.

Well, I am 11 years old, but I'm taking advanced classes(such as AIG, Math competitions, robotics), and I have learned a good portion of Web Development. Most of my peers, when I asked them their opinion on programming, had a confused look and asked "What do you mean?" I'm just starting early; the typical age should probably be 13-16. I started on JavaScript at first at the age of 10, but I didn't know it was JavaScript at the time. I thought everything was made using one language, code.org made me believe that. But as I progressed and eventually found SoloLearn, I found a ton of different languages. But I stuck with JS, as it seemed the most capable to me. I eventually learned HTML, and then CSS & CSS3. Now, I have the power to create WHATEVER I want. This world and its possibilities is so astounding.😃😉

@Diogo Lopez It's great! I know you're a beginner, so you haven't learned much HTML, but to unlock the potential of JavaScript, you have to implement style. I can develop some CSS and HTML to go along with your code, but it may take a few days(as most codes do). I specialize in jQuery animation, useful HTML tags, and CSS-Color. Check out my Rock, Paper, Scissors program!

Wow you started with 11 years. I'm the only one of my hole school who is interested in programing. I don't have no one to help me. But thanks to the Sololearn community I can ask for help when I have any problem. And every time there is someone who helps me. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!😭
