What’s the difference between “font-face” and “font-family”?

@font-face is the CSS that tells the HTML which custom glyph set (supplied by an external file e.g. woff) you want to have accessible to the CSS (as a whole). You can have multiple of these, so font-family is the CSS that tells the HTML which of the custom glyph sets (that you declared using @font-face) you want to use on a specific element.
