Silent Streams
As silent as a stream and as calm as a hare
It feels like you're in heaven though no one is around.
Silent tears occasionally slip down your cheek-
Swifty wipe them up so no one may see.

It's just a never-ending cycle really-
As you struggle to find a gasp of air you're dragged right back under.
Struggling day after day this cycle never ends-
And yet you still move forward in hopes tomorrow will be the day?

All you really want is to feel the sunshine on your face.
The overjoyed feeling of seeing their face again on a Saturday afternoon
Those times are over my friend.
All we have left is to live on in this cruel cycle and say goodbye.

Lavender Fields
Just as a knight's edge slicing through with a clean cut
Cutting on through as though a stick of warm melted butter.
Such as you did to me-
Penetrating the heart

As spring brings the blooming of flowers you bring the ever-growing joy to my life.
Through the spring showers, the frosty winters, and the cool autumn nights you stuck by.
As they did for me years ago.
The loss of last year's harvest will bring a new batch of pretty lavender.

These lavender fields you've harvested will bring tons of love and joy to all those in need.
Truly I tell you all- cherish the flowers and gardeners in your lives.
For when winter comes some may freeze and perish.

Empty Halls
A cold fuzzy feeling as though to knock me off my feet swarms.
Like a storm full of noise and fear sits by and beckons my name.
Why must I suffer from these terrible feelings?

An entire orchestra of feelings constantly echoing in the halls of my heart.
The music isn't stopping for any conductor-
A beautiful symphony has now become a train wreck of a blaring noise.

The more the conductor tries to stop it the loader it becomes.
As if oblivious many congratulate and praise this blaring symphony.
Though the signs are clear- many remain blind to the cracked walls of this broken hall.

Broken Shards
What once was his empty jar of dry emotions has now become our worst fear.
Blind rage snapping every night as he returns home from reckless living.
Why must such a simple thing knock his jar off the edge?

Overtime these emotions only grow worse and worse.
What was once known as my loving father has become a broken jar of anger.
Constant consumption of alcohol breaks his jar every bit more.

Drink your feelings away dad- that will only fog your mind to hide from the truth.
Years on end shoving away feelings into that little jar of yours only to have it break on us.
Dreaded feelings of anger now consume you ruining everything you once held dear.

Foggy Mirror
As if no one in the world exists you look only to yourself.
Fields and pastures burned down only for you to build a little cottage.
Another person hurt only for you to feel better about your own misfortunes.

Here lies a graveyard of those focused merely on themselves.
These fields stretch on for miles on miles on end.
The only thing that will only come of this is negativity.

Pain, sadness, fires, and emptiness are all that come from those actions.
If you keep looking into that demented mirror no good will come from it.
It will only bring you joy and others pain.

Soda Pop
They make me want give them a hug every time I see them.
They are constantly on my mind because they are my everything.

Every second of the day I am trying to think of how to make them happier.
We both have so much in common it makes me want to cry.
Whenever something bad happens between us I am numb with fear of losing them.

I am constantly enclosed in the fear that I will do something that would hurt them.
I care so much about them that I would sacrifice anything to make them a happier person.
They are the sun to my world.

Imagination
Mind flowing in a state of calm-
Only stopping for the bubbles of imagination.
This state of mind is as strong as a flooding river.

Sparks and colors constantly swirling around creating beautiful images of dancing silhouettes.
What was once a bleak canvas now a colorful masterpiece.
Splattered colors making up detailed images of friends and family perfectly.

When calm rolls back around the images fade away slowly.
Back to the state of calm goes the minds flowing river.
Until the next time a memory returns things shall remain a slow flowing stream of thoughts.
With this repeating process the mind will never cease to stop.

Forgotten
As if a boat drifting down a stream I slowly lose touch with reality.
Just as the sun rises and sets you transcend into the heavens above leaving me behind.
All that is left to do is cry out in hopes you'd hear me one last time.
Left with a broken echo there's nothing left to do.
