Colours in CPP???

Question

I am curious as to if colours can be outputted in CPP. I have looked for programs that do that, but I didn't find any, so that made me wonder: "Is putting colours in CPP possible?" This is also kind of a challenge to see if you can.

C++ doing colours is highly dependent on OS. Aside for decorative purposes, it really shouldn't serve any crucial function in your program, lest having it cease to work on different platforms and all the problems pertaining portability.
