Any advice others are able to offer on accelerating learning to code from beginner to expert

You can try becoming first a bio-technology master and invent a machine wich can transfer all the knowledge of the world directly to your brain. Then sell this machine to Vladimir Putin or any other interested, and use the money to pay you some coding classes in a private university. After that, create your own tutorial app and use it to learn at the speed of sound.

Wow, Goio. This is a very complex answer. I feel that the first part of your answer is probably enough, indeed I don't think that one would need Vladimir Putin's help to learn to code if one could just transfer the knowledge with one's biotechnology machine!

practice often. As often as you have time. Make programs to do things. Even if it is silly stuff. Then practice some more. Find other programs and reverse engineer them and find out what makes them tick. Then practice even more. It is like lifting weights, you must continue to practice often.
