After i finish the java tutorial should i redo the java tutorial every now and then so it stays fresh in my mind?

You should practise and use topics which you have learned in code. There are many exercies in web, you can find it in google too. Or you can use your ideas. Best way those topics to be fresh and sticking is to practise
