with c# you can do a lot of stuff. for example you can do web pages, video games, desktop applications, mobile apps. its not so deep as c++ or java but c# was created in order to combine c++ and java for a better codding experience and less lines of code.

powerful cross platform language

It's definitely well suited for many tasks. I worked 2 months with it in my free time and it seemed like a relatively good programming language.
