Although whatsapp is a good option, the reason why i choose discord is this :
1. It supports markup syntax for programming/coding

2. For users who have no idea what to make after learning their programming language, they can make a discord robot. (Which is what five people, inclusive of me, is doing right now.)

3. Unlike whatsapp, in discord you can have different channels in 1 server-chat. Meaning that the chats can hold 2 or more different conversations at a time without the conversation interfering with one another.

4. You can use it on PC as well as Phone. (Download is optional on PC)

5. We already have a discord bot there linked the SoloLearn's forum, meaning that each time there is a new post in the discussion center, the bot will automatically send a message to inform us. (Dont worry, you can mute it so it won't flood your notifications)

6. Voice channel(Even though no one uses it). And also, those can play music.
