Why is Linux the best OS to learn coding and hacking?

Best but best linux for hacking (here we reffer to penetration testing) is Kali Linux. It's a custom Linux flavor that comes with a bunch of hacking programs. It is specially made for hacking *cough* penetration testing. Just try it! It's free!

In my experience, Linux has always been easier to set up development environments and stuff for programming than Windows. Heck, Python already comes pre-installed on many distributions, so you can create Python scripts in your text editor of choice right off the bat in a freshly installed OS. That, and Linux gives a lot more power to its command line interface than Windows does, so it kind of gets you in the mindset of coding, and works both ways if you want to use your programming experience in the form of shell scripting! In general, Linux is more versatile and customizable for whatever workload you plan to work with, so in that way it can definitely streamline the process of coding. That, and less games/software than Windows means less distraction from learning c;
