FTP and HTTP are two protocols for the transmission of data.
For use as a service to consult:
HTTP (Web Server): apache2, nginx, ...
FTP (FTP Server): vsftpd, filezilla, ...
To use it as a client:
HTTP (Browser): chrome, firefox, IE ;) ...
FTP (FTP Client): filezilla
