I suggest you start with Python. Java would be a little tough for a beginner.

if you nearly zero experience in programming then yes this would fairly difficult to grasp. don't fret. you just have to develop the new pathways in your brain to make all the connections. it's difficult for those of us who come from a procedural language. this app though is very very good at delivering the lessons in bite-sized pieces. that along with the community interactions is a big plus. There is a book call Java In Easy Steps that is really short and would be a good one to read after this. together I am really starting to get the hang of oop. good luck. don't give up. we all start off with 0 experience when doing something new.
