i was 6 when i started programming and didnt even know it was called that back then i was even debugging my code anyways to cut a long story short i got a saga mega drive and never returned to it untill now 😏 .

depends. if the young person is interested its more likely that things you learn stick to your head more easily(basic fact). but there are other facts that you could consider, some people find it extremely hard to code even if they are smart, just because the flow differs from their regular thought process/flow. Also there is the required dedication needed when it comes to coding, some people get really disappointed and discouraged when they get bugs in their code and might lose edge when it comes to learning. etc etc. tl;dr highly depends on the person
