Tips for Python

Question

I know the basics of python, (Defining functions, repeating things, etc.) but I still don't get the purpose of things like the 'class' function. Also any tips for shortcuts and other useful things. I am working on a text adventure at the moment, but tips for shortcuts and useful functions would be appreciated, along with an explanation of what it does. Thanks in advance, any help is useful

I’d suggest learning some libraries, it makes everything more interesting
