Or mother? Possibly Ada Lovelace, but as usual it's often a joint process. Charles Babbage created the difference engine, which was a good start too.

This can never ever be determined because our world had generated a lot of person with a great knowledge of programming and still people are becoming interactive in programming.. every language is unique in its own terms.. each language has its own use according to the purpose . For beginners HTML,CSS is important whereas programmers use Java and C#.. PHP has its own status for servering and related to it..

Martin Taylor , so the booth algorithm that I studied once for binary multiplication is Kathleen booth's work just guessing? I checked it right now, turns out, it was andrew Donald booth, a physicist, mathematician and husband of Kathleen thanks for all that info Martin Taylor wow, I just got to know they were couples, awesome so this physicist married a computer engineering girl , they both have done remarkable work.

All languages sever their own purposes so there is no almighty programming language.
