Well, it depends. A Python-esque language is Ruby. If you like making Windows applications, learn C#. For general applications, Java is great. For basuc games, C++ is the way to go. There are many, many options; Don't be afraid to explore.

Maybe not so much "taste everything", moreso "Decide what I want to do". Now, if you don't know what you would like to do yet, then go for it, try some of everything.

Try to do a simple project. Web or desktop, a game or a tool (maybe file type converter)? There's a lot to do. Just think of a project and write the code. As a Python Software Developer I suggest to use Django or another web framework.
