If you just want to know some simple tricks, you don't even have to know much about programming. You just need a bunch of hacking tools created by others and they can all be accesed through linux terminal.

I'm sorry to say, but using a bunch of programs that other hackers created does not make you even close to a real hacker. And I say the word hacker meaning ethical or not. What it makes is another potentially dangerous script kiddie. If you really want to be an ethical hacker (pentester), then learn as many programming languages as you can. Yes, the programs are good, great even, but the really good hackers know all the languages and they know how to use them to exploit network and system vulnerabilities.

Correction: Tim, you're right, my bad. Which leads me to answer this last one... Yes, you can use metasploit, and if all you are interested in is being a script kiddie then you should only need that and a few other premade programs. The difference between that and a real hacker, is that the hacker knows exactly what the program is doing and how. Therefore they can customize any aspect of it to perform the attack they desire. A script kiddie has little to no chance at defending against a hacker who can manipulate code and programs, and even wrote their own tools to automate processes. I'm trying to explain where that line is drawn. Hackers and pentesters strive to erase these lines and push things as far as possible. You wanted to know which language to learn to become a hacker. Like anything else, it depends on the specific job you want to perform. Python is a good place to start, then I would say C and C++. But the more languages you know, the better you can detect and fix intrusions.

Hacker and ethical hacker both use same tools, just with different intention.

Made up answers? The first question in the list I posted has an answer with this link: https://www.technotification.com/2017/07/programming-languages-for-hackers.html This is exactly the answer to your question. Are you trolling me right now? Show a bit more effort if you want to learn something. You ask a question and don't even read the links in the answers.

I know it doesn't make you a real hacker. That's why I said it's only if you want to learn some simple tricks.

I posted 4 questions with lots of answers and you read them all in 2-3 minutes? Amazing how fast you can read! Hacking (ethical or not doesn't matter) is all about finding vulnerabilities. You can't even find informations a search function feeds you... There are so many ressources out there...

I am asking you that there is any need of programming language to test the security of a computer system and reveal its vulnerabilities, so they could be plugged. If yes then tell me what should I learn
