Book recommendations about history of programming/programming languages.

Question

I am quite new to programming especially algorithms but as far as I have read about programming the most amusing part about it, after the obvious of "coding myself" , is reading about the history of coding/programming. So can anybody give me references to good books about the history of anything related to programming.

You could read The Mystical Man-Month. It's more about software engineering than programming, but I really enjoyed reading it...
