What do you prefer about html and css and why?

Hello everyone as you know there's two ways for building websites using html and css

1- hand writing codes : you have to write every single code of your site
2- using programs act like Adobe muse that don't require writing any code you have to make the design only

With knowing the purpose of html and css is building the content and gave the style for the Website

I like option 1, because of the control in what and where i want to use stuff.
But for beginners/bussiness people option 2 can be great i guess.
