Geolocation much more accurate than GPS? Tried it myself and the coordinates shows that I'm couple of blocks away from the mark.

Most people don't realize how GPS works and that its accuracy is heavily dependent on the number of satellites currently "above your head" (or those that you are in "range" of, to be more precise).
I doubt there is anything more precise, apart from perhaps a combination of GPS and WiFi signal strength...

На английском трудно писать, поэтому напишу на русском)) Обычно на застроенной территории здания закрывают большую часть видимых на небе спутников, в связи с этим, точность определения координат существенно падает. Также, помехи сигналу спутников gnss создают листья деревьев, металлические конструкции, провода и т.п. Сантиметровой точности можно добиться только применяя технологии, использующиеся в геодезических приборах (почитайте про режимы измерений Кинематика в реальном времени (RTK) «стою-иду» (stop & go) и кинематический (Kinematic), систему DGPS (англ. differential global positioning system) и т.п.)
