Can Flutter Framework widgets be used outside of mobile development, like for web or desktop applications ?

As of now, Flutter website says you can build it for Mobile devices as well as Desktop. But web development is not possible yet..

As it's just newly introduced. I think there is Ongoing development for desktop applications. But in the Android some apps have been built already. I heard that "Daily Finance" Android app is built with flutter.
