Can I develop face recognition system and attach it with my system?

I want to make face recognition system for my laptop which can be use to log in and log out from my laptop.
I mean
windows uses some password system to log inside the computer and I want to add face recognition system for that instead of password. Is it possible?

Windows 10 actually has a feature called Windows Hello which does exactly what you described. However it's not very secure. Also I'd recommend you to implement this feature in Linux because you can access the source code of the OS and the login program and if you'll make it open source many people might help you with it
