Can animation effects be applied to font colors or just the background??

Sam Well It works for me without that too but it's a good practice to use those "prefixes" (as shown in the CSS lessons here) as it secures the animation to work in many browsers.. [EDIT] - Link to lesson ~ https://www.sololearn.com/learn/CSS/2237/

Nikhil so for some of your properties to be working on unsupported browsers you need to be repeating it and adding those prefixes😤
