Adding to Max 's answer, you should be familiar with different web technologies and languages. You don't have to be a proficient coder, just have a good understanding and recognition of code. You should familiarize yourself with the different protocol layers of websites/applications/the internet. Learn how servers work. Learn about some different popular servers (Apache, Nginx). Learn how firewalls work and how to set one up on your own computer or server manually. Learn about different types of popular attacks and how to shield yourself from them. Understand encryption. Along with this a bunch of little random bits you will pick up along the way as you learn about information security. Learn everything, good luck.

well if your teacher said so and you need it for grades you should probably learn that stuff. but for websecurity i would do: html/html5->javascript->php and sql then learn about sql injection and cross site scripting. you have significant overlap between both curricula so just learn the overlapping parts first. btw its always a good idea to learn about the other stuff. to break something you need to know how it is build

Omar o for websecurity you need javascript, you can not do php but i don‘t recommend it. you should learn python html css and sql, but you need more than that to do it security. you should learn how to make applications. how do you want to find bugs in them if you don‘t know how applications are made. just do lots of developement and programming and learn many different things and just explore whats out there at the moment. and then you can start learning more about websecurity when you have some grasp on how things are done and understand how things work under the hood. i think @Maxwell Anderson 's answer is very good, in the end what makes you good at it security is having lots of random knowledge from all over the place

PHP is not necessary. Learn JS, HTML, CSS, and Python is always useful.
