close and open a new window on button click

Question

Hi all,

I have a function which I pass id as a parameter, which will display the details associated with parameter (id) in a window. The window gets opened on every click, it doesn't close the previous one. How to close the existing and open the new window?

Note: I have a tab with grid list. The window gets displayed on button click of particular. It shouldn't close another row's already opened window.
