Typing code without any form of understanding will make you good at typing, not coding. :D

I'm uncertain of the actual question. Are you asking if you can get better by typing up codes in the Code Playground? Sure, you'll be able to hone and better understand the concepts you're learning here about Java. However, there is a LOT more to Java that is NOT covered here at SoloLearn, and that can't be executed from the Code Playground, so you'll want to download an IDE (Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ, etc..) onto your local machine and use it to further learn Java once you've mastered what SoloLearn covers.

Most of what I've learned about programming came from running into problems and having to sit around forever trying to debug it or figure out how to make it work as I envisioned it.
