This is a good question indeed, i wonder why all the beginners not ask this. :)

In order to make your codes run on a website, a domain name alone is not enough. You need to subscribe a web hosting. Point your domain name to the nameservers of the hosting from the domain registrar.
Upload your web codes into the hosting server though ftp or ssh. Only then you would get the domain website showing your working web codes.
