[SUGGESTION] Real time tournaments

Hello. I got an idea about what would I like to have in Sololearn and I decided to see comunity's option before sending email to info@sololearn.com. So, here is my description: What about real-time challenge tournaments. People from close time zones would compate in solving challenges in real time. All of them would be solving the same challenges. The first one that solves it would get 3 points, the second one would get 2 points and the third one would get one point (or something like that). Players would solve 10 challenges in each round in groups of 10 players. The first three players (by points count) would ascend to next round. So if 200 players would register into tournament, the tournament would have 4 rounds (1: 20 * 10 players ; 2: 6 * 10 players ; 3: 2 * 9 players ; 4: 1 * 6 players). The winner would get 1000 XP, the second place reward would be 600 XP and reward for third place would be 300 xp. These tournaments could be organised every sunday or saturday once a week. (see my comment for part 2)

Tournament challenges would have to be unique, because many players know answers to most normal challenges from memory. Please, vote by upvoting and downvoting the question above. If it gets more than 10 upvotes in total, I will send suggestion email.

@michal That's also good idea. I will include url of this thread to the e-mail, so admins will be able to read that.

Suggestion e-mail has been sent to info@sololearn.com. I just hope I have written it understandably enough since English isn´t my native language. Thank you again for all your support.

Great idea, but I think it would be hard to put together a group of 100 or 200 players. It would be better if it was with maybe 10 players and not fixed to a given time, but whenever 10 people ask for it within a short time

On 2nd of July I got e-mail reply from Sololearn team. Here it is: Thanks  a lot for your suggestion. We always listen to the voice of our community. Give us some time to review and you may find it in one of our coming updates. Best, Armina SoloLearn Inc. Sorry for replying two weeks after getting the reply, but I was on summer camp and didn't have access to any electronic device (excluding light bulb 😃).

this is definitely a great idea, a chance for people to gain recognition, i frankly don't participate in sololearn challenges becuase most answers are wrong. but this would greatly officiated and winning would give the confidence you need to pursue a career as a software engineer. let me if you need any help spreading awareness or need any help at all, i will do the best to my ability. thank you in advance.

I didn't meant it to be for fixed amount of players. Sololearn team would simply post an annoucment, that next Sunday, in 5 PM a tournament would take place and players can register into it by pressing a button. The tournament rewards could depend on amount of registred players.

I just meant that there would be no fixed 5PM, but it could start whenever there are enough people

To account for the difference in time zones, there can be regional tournaments (One region = One time zone, like GMT +5:30, etc) per week and an international one per month, featuring the top 3 regional winners from each weekly tournament.

You've reached 39 votes so you can send it now if you haven't. Anyway, it sounds complicated but I like it.
