you can even make android app with notepad! programming codes are just plain text and you can write them with every text editor...Eclipse and Android studio & ... are just tools and are NOT necessary but they are very helpful...

Yes you can... but not for longer anymore. Until now, Eclipse was the IDE recommanded by google-android for app development, and provide an (excellent) plugin (ADT) for Eclipse. But since few weeks, google-android has announced that they no more support this plugin and this IDE, and now recommandation is to use AndroidStudio. Well, it's a shame because when you code on many langages, sometimes use the same tools is quiet advantageous... But be reassure, the new android IDE is quick to getting started ( I look at it after a few days of using Eclipse for basic java and c++ ) and not destabilizing/disturbing.

I've used Android Studio for apps but it crashes too much and the program is really heavy. For me, it's not recommendable but if they fix those problems then it'll be worth it.

Your question sound different than the explanation below... 1. If you are looking for android application then you can use java, for doing that you need a pc and an user interface... Thats what is eclipse so is also called an IDE... And java is the programming language to be used... As eclipse does not have many features readily available. . U need to use android studio.. 2. Now second part is about games.... You can use java for developing the code for ur game and UI using android studio... More over it depends on what kind of game you want to design... If its a simple logic puzzle like sudoku just java with android studio will do good enough... But if you want to design a gane which is much more dynamic like clash royale., that can be developed with loads of ui and need to use 2D engine too....

yes, you can...but I suggest you use Android Studio...as it contains much more methods that eclipse can't...when you get into good practice...I am sure you prefer Android Studio...

Yes, because it's an IDE for creating Android apps. But Google has made their own IDE called Android Studio, which is highly recommend to use for Android development

You can also make android app with Aide which is an android app.yes,it is.I know that a PC can make an android app much better than aide but still aide is very handy and u dont have to make any virtual device.Ur own device is ur virtual device.U can test ur app on ur own device.it works perfectly.i myself built an android app with it which is a sensor checker and tester
