I have 2 OS on my laptop...ubuntu and windows 10 ...when i open ubuntu i noticed that i can see windows' partations ...buy why!?
i think it shouldnt apear in ubuntu because it is for windows.....and also can i make partations in ubuntu like wndows??(C D ...etc)

Windows uses the file system NTFS and Ubuntu most likely uses ext4. Windows can't read ext4, but Ubuntu can read NTFS, so you can access all your files while using Ubuntu. In Linux distros like Ubuntu, partitions are mounted different than in in windows. Once you mounted a partition using the mount command or nautilus (the standard file manager of Ubuntu), it becomes accessible in the directory /media/<username>/<drive name>/

Yes, so you should store everything, that you need to access on both on your windows partition (or any other NTFS partition)
