How are floating point numbers saved in binary?

Hello. I would like to know, how are numbers with floating points (such as 18.45) saved into computer memory? I know that number 18 can be written as 10010 in binary, but I have never thought how is that with floating numbers. Does anyone of you have any idea how is number 18.45 saved into binary memory?
