What if I wanna use x and y to be affected by animation?

It always depends on the element of svg you want to animate.
For example, if it is a circle or an ellipse you change cx or cy,
if it is a line you change x or y etc.
I'm not sure if that was the answer you requested...

Well SVG is 2d programmed (scalable vector graphics), so to make a path 3d you have to put 3d in 2d, i mean just draw what is visible in a plan...
