NetBeans is very useful when you develop an MVC-based application in Java. The development of Servlet / JSP is quite simple compared to Eclipse, especially in the field of deployment and debugging.

Fundamentally they're no different, it's just that netbeans is easy to use compared to eclipse. The advantage with eclipse is that it's widely used than netbeans so many companies use it compared to netbeans. For beginners i recommend netbeans for ease of use bt personally i love it even for professional projects
