Does the coding playground support HTML 5?

Officially no. Even so, an alternative may be to use https://caniuse.com/ (and see what features are supported in your browser). It would be great if SL included some automated test.

Normally HTML 5 does not offer incompatibilities in some old devices (Android 4.4), the problem is usually compatibility with ES6
