Is it ok for me to lear Ruby for web programming ?

Currently, Ruby is popular language. Ruby on Rails, QtRuby, SFML Ruby, all of them are Ruby frameworks. QtRuby - Desktop apps. SFML - games. Ruby on Rails - backend. So I recommend Ruby as a main Programming language.
