File Hosting

Question

How do I upload my file on a server so that I can include it using the src attribute? I tried so many file hosting services, but its all not JUST my file, so I cant use it.

Hi Paul Grasser,
I use Dropbox, it's flawless and never had issues.(iOS, Android & Windows)

To get the correct result, you need to change the end of the link url and thats it!😊
from
"?dl=0"
to
"?dl=1"

Here is an example how I've used .mp3 file to play on SL. Most file extentions should work this way.

I host my files on bplaced.net, its free for private use. You may give it a try.

If you want to publish your codes under a open source licence you could create an account on github and upload the files there.

unfortunatly I have never used google drive for SL. Therefore I can't tell you how to implement a valid link from GD to SL.

But shouldn't be that hard I guess😊
