Java and Python are both excellent programming languages and both are widely adopted. Java does some things better than python, as multi-threading. you should test both and make your choice 😊

The JVM is highly optimized for performance. But Python has a jit compiler but that won't perform better than JVM. You can benchmark and see the results

If you think Python cannot beat the JVM, wait until you try RPython... (no, just don't try it, it will blow your mind in a really bad way: even David Beazly doesn't understand it and he is a fantastic Python developer)
