You could use inline CSS in your div:

<div id=“div_name” style=“border-width:1px; border-style:solid; border-color:black”>
</div>

or (shorthand):

<div id=“div_name” style=“border:1px solid black”>
</div>

Of course if your object is a paragraph or span element, you would replace <div> with <p> or <span>.
