Help me squash this bug?

Question

So I finally got this code to only clear the textarea while it is focused, otherwise, do something else

HOWEVER
that's part of the problem.

It will do something else as long as escape is not pressed as long as the textarea is focused, since technically, only 1 condition is met. How can I fix this?

Is there a way to make it it ignore every other key or something?
