Should I learn JavaScript before learning Java?

Think of Java and Javascript as a 'Ham' and a 'Hamster'. The only thing they have in common is the names. :))

No friend, javascript is something very different from java. Many people get confused with their names, but you learn whoever wants

No. You can learn whatever you want Java And JavaScript are different ... JavaScript is mainly a full-fledged dynamic programming language and Java is OOP (object oriented programming language) .. If you want to learn OOP in JavaScript, you don't need to learn Java . But it's good to have some basic knowledge (It'll boost your programming understanding )but not necessarily needed

If your goal is more targetted toward website design Javascript is an easy choice, at least for me it was. Most modern websites use a combination of html, css and javascript. If you would like to make stand-alone applications or games that can be accessed across multiple platforms, then Java is an easy choice. Billions of devices use Java.
