Does the Sololearn random challenge question generation algorithm give a higher weight/probability to wrongly answered questions
If you or your opponent has got a particular question wrong in the past in challenges, is that question given a higher probability of turning up during a challenge (to aid learning) or is the question generation completely random? It seemed to me that past incorrectly answered questions are more probable. What are your thoughts/experiences?

Yes it is bro, until you get it correct. However, at lower levels, it may take 3-4 times of the correct answer to lower the priority of the question. Otherwise, it is random. However, I've noticed that the randomness runs on a schedule, as, for example, 3 people challenge me at the same time, but the questions are almost identical, even in order sometimes. But if there's a delay of 2 or more minutes, there might only be one question the same. I think there's more, but I don't know for sure though bro. It seems that different users may have different series too possibly, but I can't prove that.

Very interesting observation Anthony Quick . I guess, since this algorithm is never published all we can do is analyse it like a black box using our experiences. For what purpose, I'm not sure. Just for the sake of curiosity bro.

Yeah, definitely bro. We could dig into the source code of the app and see possibly though, for curiosities' sake... I've been thinking about doing that actually, just haven't had time. I'm not sure how much of the brains are actually in the app itself, or on the server. If it's the latter, then not much we can see. 😊

I think algorithm is based on asking you the question that you answered wrong firstly.Until you give correct answer it asks you, ignoring randomness. As you answer it correctly, then randomness occurs with equal probability of questions. But sometimes there exist extreme situations. For ex: 5 challanges I solved successively were totally same questions. There must be something reasoned that.Maybe computer was tired of preparing different questions and showed the same😊

we have to extract all details hiding in the SL ap

For what it's worth, the mobile app plays little to nil role in generating challenge questions as it comes from the server-side and it's very common in multi-tier design. 😉

Zephyr Koo ahh, my fears confirmed. Guess if I want to figure out how it works completely would have to apply for a job at SoloLearn lol.

Davy Jones yeah... it seems it's because they want to reinforce it to you so that you can get it right in the future, most likely.

Yeah, I've also noticed that the question I don't solve tends to appear more than the easy one.
