Is it okay to start another language when you aren't through with one?

I would suggest against learning multiple languages at once. Get comfortable with at least one before starting another. :)

absolutely, life is a constant learning process and paid developers are constantly learning, only with added pressure ':)

I'm learning Python but improving my Java and farming my C++. It can get confusing but I will read a Python book when I need it.
