Do you people allow any member to propose people/somebody who are/is fit for MOD badge?

moderation selection process has been changed recently and now potential moderators are being selected by Gold/Platinum moderators to pass the probation period and unlock the badge afterwards.

A regular user can whisper suggestions in the ear of a gold/platinum moderator. Maybe that moderator will be inspired to do some research.

We usually discuss nominees as a team before extending offers to join a trial, so impressing only one moderator might not get a suggested user into the final list of nominees.

As a previous moderator, those other people who get chosen to be moderator are usually recommended by current moderators.
