i've understood the concept of exponentiation but when it comes to practice, i'm unable to understand the calculated output.

can anyone help me, please...

2**3 = 2^3 = 2³ = 2 to the power of 3 = 2*2*2 (2 multiplied with itself 3 times) = 8.

8**5 = 8*8*8*8*8 (8 multiplied with itself 5 times).

x**y = x*x*x*...*x (x multiplied with itself y times).
