Self taught SQL & analytics tools etc...help me see the big picture

5 years ago, started working for a company that provided various data management and processing services. Basically a cloud based SAAS, with an in house GUI for the employees doing the processing, access to a reporting database(for the analytics teams) and then various access levels for developers/imp. I learned everything possible within MS SQL server, Visual Studio, etc. So i know queries, stored procedures, analytics, GUI integration, etc. How does my knowledge fit the big coding picture?

drew I must be missing some additional context here. Based on your statement: "I learned everything possible within MS SQL Server, Visual Studio, etc. So I know queries, stored procedures, analytics, GUI integration, etc." I assume you're either in QA, a B.I. data analyst, in tech support, or something else where these tools would be accessible. I figure you aren't an application developer because a) you would likely not be asking this question and b) you probably would have stated this. In any case, to answer the question: "How does my knowledge fit the big coding picture?" ... it would depend on from which role you were applying this knowledge. Do you mind clarifying this bit of context?

drew nice to hear your ambition of setting a startup which you ambitious to grow into a $50mil company. I am not in tech sector so my advice are not professional. I suggest MySQL with Node.js because myself is starting it recently. On the other hand, David is a senior owner/developer of a tech company (which probably worths more than USD50mil), so if he gives advice to you, it must be much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much more useful for you 😉

Gordon Did you go nuts on some new energy drink that has kept you up for 72 hours? And... are you possibly having hallucinations of a small, flying unicorn that no one else can see or hear and who won't stop talking to you? If so... then you might want to get some sleep. 🤣😜 ( Lookup show called Happy for reference about unicorn. 🦄 ) PeopleLieCodeLiesButAtleastItsLogical I wouldn't want you to post anything detailed other than to set some context for your question. Otherwise, it would be difficult to answer the question about your knowledge and how it fits into some big picture. 😉 I try to refrain from private communication from this community because I get overwhelmed with requests I can't followup on and no one else, with a similar problem, will be able to benefit. However, if you still feel your context needs to be shared privately, you can contact me briefly over DM. We can consider other mediums of communication if necessary. 😉

I think you need to build interfaces to interact with the MySQL database. For example, PHP or Node.js

A super-deformer cute unicorn 😂 And that unicorn pops up with a reason, according to its self intro. Well, if a unicorn or a griffin or a qilin pops up asking me to save a kidnapped girl, I'll simply be frank to it : "Sorry, I can't help you 🤷‍♂️ byebye~ 👋"
