Personally, I like python because it's the easiest for me when it comes to app programming. And it works great, there may be more chances of bugs, but if you know what you're doing, everything will come out fine! See? not that complex!

I've used Java for over 20 years, created the Dagger and Truth frameworks and was on the java core library team at Google. I prefer Kotlin. It is familiar to the Java developer while eliminating a lot of the ceremony of Java, and deeply interoperable.

You get powerful features like extension methods, coroutines, property delegation, and things to remove boilerplate from frameworks like Dagger or the Android APIs. Google supports it as a first class language and their APIs get a "kotlin review". Some of the most used Android open source code uses Kotlin, like square's libraries such as Okio, Retrofit, and Wire.

In my view, Kotlin turned Java best practices into language features and allows you to write Java-compatible code so much more cleanly.
