What exactly is the xp worth in this app? I mean is it just for us to feel better or does it have real time value?🤔

XP, badges and even likes (because of abuse they don't really reflect one's programming skill. For example look at how many likes I got on my primitive codes and how many wonderful codes out there have just a few) - it is all superficial and more related to the "social network" side of SL, than the coding one.I think it is a shame to reduce such great resource (as SL really is) to that, but many seem to enjoy collecting badges, XP and whatnot.

For users, it is only useful for feeling better. For SL, it is useful for keeping XP addicts hooked on challenges and making more ad revenue. I have always wished for the XP here to have a better correlation with someone's coding ability but that dream will probably never come true.

Good question
It's one of the six psyco tricks evil tech app used to hook us from staying at the app.

XP helps leveling up your profile, the more XP, the more your level will be.
And further level gives you badge, i.e., bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
So, this is how XP work.
But it doesn't have any real time value, you can not convert that into real world cash😅

I appreciatie how it shows some value for what you have done here, but I don't like how the challenges have a lot of influence on this. Some people are doing only challenges to whole time to boost xp, questions return in challenges so this is not correct.
A matter of different interrest maybe.

For me it just tells me who is a dedicated learner

I know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows this girl, who knows this other guy, who may not know this gerbel, who told me that SoloLearn has been toying with the idea of setting up a redeeming system, where you will eventually be able to redeem your xp's in for stuff like a new laptop, monitor, etc, etc.
They are jusy working out the details with sponsors and what not...
Don't quote me on it though... Cause I have no idea what I am talking about.
But really, you can redeem your xp's in the app to get hints and/or unlock a question with out answering it...
