You shouldn't let such worries affect your commitment to whatever area you are dealing with or like to deal with. Just worry about getting smarter and smarter each day in whatever you do and eventually everything else will take care of itself.

Its hard to say which area hase more job opportunities. Back-end can be an area in companies where you dont need a frontend in one or the other way. But then there are also jobs where you dont need a back-end and can build a headless front-end. So i would say both fields are so big that smaller differences are to be neglected.
