Is really our programming career in danger because of AI which is developed by ourselves?

I doubt ai will ever be able to be spontaneously creative enough to supplant a human. I believe programming will eventually become more of a spoken process with the ai making use of preexisting code to construct a solution to a given task.

I once had a job that was saving the company 11 million dollars a year by doing manual analysis of system failures and performing recovery actions. To make my job less tedious I decided to program everything I did and automate the recoveries. Instead of rewarding me for my efficiency, they eliminated my position. I programmed myself out of my own job!!😲 I wish they had offered just one of those millions to me in thanks. 😤 So, yes, AI is likely to take over some programming tasks and replace jobs. There will be other technology development where human effort will be required. Yeah, not to worry.

I would say our careers would be in danger if it's not programming related in the future.

In the rate that AI becomes so powerful and developed they can perform many task that make us surprised. already they won the game that need to be a genius, and programming tools and environment are also developing in higher rate so that we could write a program easily. what if in our generation the programming job will lost and AI could do the programming ?
