About Python and Django for server side development

Question

I'm currently working on a university project where I have to develop a web platform and I will use Python for backend. I know that I have to use django for it to work properly as a backend language, but the contend I found so far on internet is not deep, so I'd be grateful if someone could explain a bit the basics of starting using django/python for server side, like a step by step or something like that.
