Running multiple versions of software on Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver . Setting #EnvironmentPath

Hello fellow learners, i would need help trying to run different softwares each requiring different versions of Java (8 and 11) . I need to use the two programs together but i dont understand how, one should be run with version 8 and the ither 11 on the same system.
Is there a work around for this

Use virtual box and install Linux and download the other version on it.
